Steady Heart Studio (“we,” “us”) publishes children’s books, journals, and free printable resources at steadyheartstudio.com. This page explains what information the site collects and how it is used. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
Who this site is for
This website is written for parents, caregivers, teachers, counselors, and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Email sign-ups
If you join our email list or request a free guide, you give us your email address (and your first name, if the form asks for it). We use it only to send what you asked for and occasional updates about new books and resources. Sign-ups are handled by Kit (kit.com), our email service provider, which stores that information on our behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We do not sell or rent your information.
Free downloads
Our printable discussion guides, activity sheets, and refills can be downloaded without an account or password.
Affiliate links and advertising disclosure
Advertisement disclosure: Some links on this site are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, Steady Heart Studio earns from qualifying purchases. This costs you nothing extra and helps support our work. Links to retailers such as Amazon and Walmart are provided for your convenience, and nothing is required to use the free resources on this site.
When you click a link to Amazon, you leave our site. Amazon and its affiliate program may place cookies or similar technologies on your browser to track the referral and attribute a purchase to us. Links to other retailers, such as Walmart.com, are plain links that we do not earn from, but those sites have their own cookies and privacy policies. Their handling of your information is governed by those policies, such as Amazon’s and Walmart’s.
Cookies
Our site, and the third-party services it uses (such as Kit sign-up forms and retailer links), may set cookies. These help forms work, remember whether you have already seen a sign-up prompt, and track affiliate referrals. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features such as sign-up pop-ups may behave differently.
Comments
If comments are enabled on a blog post and you leave one, we collect the information shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to see whether you use it. Comments and their details are kept so follow-up comments can be recognized.
Embedded content
Pages may include content from other sites. These sites may collect data and use cookies as if you had visited them directly.
Security and hosting
The site is hosted on WordPress. Standard server logs (such as IP address and pages visited) may be kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by using our contact page. You can unsubscribe from email at any time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
